Bonnie Leising Buffalo, NY Death: It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Leising, who left this world peacefully on April 10, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with health issues. Bonnie was 73 years old and a lifelong resident of Buffalo, New York, where she touched countless lives with her warmth, strength, humor, and unwavering love.
Bonnie was more than just a beloved member of her community—she was the heart of her family, a loyal friend to many, a skilled and dedicated professional, and a shining example of grace, kindness, and perseverance. Her presence was calming, her words were full of wisdom, and her life was a reflection of love in action.
Born in 1951, Bonnie was raised in a loving home and was a proud graduate of Williamsville North High School, where she met the love of her life. It was during those teenage years that Bonnie’s journey with her high school sweetheart began—one that would span more than half a century. Their love story began as juniors and blossomed into a lifelong commitment built on mutual respect, enduring friendship, and deep affection. Bonnie and her husband were married for 52 wonderful years, sharing a bond that inspired everyone who knew them.
Together, they raised a family grounded in love, laughter, and strong values. Bonnie was a devoted wife and a fiercely loving mother. Her home was always filled with warmth—whether that was in the form of a welcoming hug, a fresh meal, or the sound of her laughter echoing down the hallways. She had a gift for making people feel at ease, heard, and cared for.
Professionally, Bonnie dedicated many years of her life to the dental field as a Dental CAD Technician at Shatkin F.I.R.S.T. Her expertise, commitment to detail, and pride in her craft helped improve the lives of many. More than just a job, her work was a reflection of her character: steady, thoughtful, and precise. She was respected and admired by her colleagues and deeply appreciated by the patients whose lives she helped transform.
Bonnie had an eye for beauty and a heart for people. She was the kind of person who remembered birthdays, showed up in times of need, and knew just when to offer a kind word or silent comfort. She was also a woman of quiet strength—never boastful, always steady, and constantly putting others first. Even in her final months, as her health declined, she remained a pillar of grace and courage.
Bonnie loved her community and took pride in the people and places that shaped her. A lifelong Buffalonian, she enjoyed the simple things: Sunday drives, family dinners, gardening in the warmer months, and watching the seasons change from her cozy spot by the window. She was an avid supporter of local causes and always believed in giving back in ways both big and small.
One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she poured endless love, stories, and life lessons into each of them. She nurtured with patience and taught with gentleness—passing on not only recipes and traditions but also strength, resilience, and compassion.
Tragically, Bonnie’s passing was followed shortly by the heartbreaking loss of her beloved son, Kristopher Leising, who was found deceased just days after her death. The pain of this double loss is immeasurable, and the family is leaning on the love of their friends, community, and each other during this incredibly difficult time.
Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, her beloved children and grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
